Continuing her successful year, Morgan Alexander has gained the title of Vice-Champion in the European Savate Assaut Championships in Budapest. Competing for Team GB, she took 2 victories and a draw to win through to the final of the F-70kg category.

After two days of stiff competition, against fighters from Germany, Hungary and Russia, Morgan met the highly-experienced French Champion, Laure Iacono, in the final. After a hard-fought contest, Iacono, a former World and European champion took the decision. Winning the Silver Medal and the title of 'Vice Champion' in an elite combat discipline is, of course, a real achievement.

Savate Assaut requires a high level of technical and tactical skill, and a very good level of fitness. Morgan has been training in Savate for over 10 years. She is a regular instructor for the Academy Tiger Cubs class. She has competed in Savate for several years, and previously took a bronze medal in the World Assaut Championships in 2012.
